WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT US
We have an unwavering commitment to the safety of our guests and our team. Here are the recent safety measures to expect when you visit us:
- We ask that guests awaiting test results, or with health concerns relating to Covid-19 to please postpone their reservation
- Hand sanitiser stations are available at the entrance to the building and within the restaurant
- You must have a face mask to enter the restaurant
- Face masks must be worn when not sat at your table
- Your temperature will be taken before entry

Located in Stockbridge, Edinburgh, Merienda serves Mediterranean-inspired small plates of the finest artisan Scottish produce, featuring a tasting menu you design. It’s an exquisite, casual fine dining experience with a difference.
Merienda works in partnership with its sister catering firm Exec Chef Cuisine, which specialises in bespoke fine dining and high-end events catering.

Our fresh, seasonal menu utilises the very best of Scotland’s larder cooked and served in a Mediterranean style: Small plates with a communal dining experience. We have built up a fantastic relationship with artisan producers and trusted suppliers who ensure we receive the finest ingredients available in the country.
The menu is ever-evolving and based around 5 main sections: Staples, Fields & Gardens, Rivers & Seas, Farms & Pastures and Sweetness. These 5 sections flow with the seasons. We use some of the finest small artisan producers around Scotland, from individual cheese-making farms, a smokehouse in the Hebrides, some line-caught fish, a mushroom farm, charcuteries and the best poultry and meats. Provenance is at the heart of our menus.
Wines are sourced from small growers around Europe, offering sumptuous White, Rosé and Red wines, all hand selected to match the dishes that we serve. The majority of our superb wines are available by the glass. We have a list of purely Scottish craft beers, a large selection of spirits that are high-end and pre-dominantly Scottish sourced, a range of Scottish soft drinks and an incredibly rare whisky because we might as well have something unique.

Merienda is the perfect size for a small gathering with exclusive use. We offer a fantastic private dining experience featuring imaginative, exciting menus for you and your guests to enjoy. We have hosted parties, weddings, special celebrations, private business lunches, product launches, Christmas events and more. Menus range from a 10-course offering of sumptuous small plates, to 3-course lunches, canapé and cocktail events. Corporate and private bookings welcome. Ask the question, the answer’s Yes.
