Located in Stockbridge, Edinburgh, Merienda serves Mediterranean inspired small plates of the finest artisan Scottish produce, featuring a tasting menu that you design. It’s an exquisite, casual fine dining experience with a difference.
Small Plate Dining at Merienda allows you the free reign to mix and choose the dishes from our vast offering, and create your own tasting menu. This allows you to experience a great variety of Scottish produce, flavours, colours and textures of seasonal ingredients in every dish we serve, all beautifully presented in a casual atmosphere.
We have served customers 12 plates between 2 people; some couples enjoy a degustation menu they have designed over several hours with 19 plates. We believe it’s more interesting to experience a plethora of exquisitely cooked, presented plates with flavours and visuals.

Our fresh, seasonal menu utilises the very best of Scotland’s larder cooked and served in a Mediterranean style: Small plates with a communal dining experience. We have built up a fantastic relationship with artisan producers and trusted suppliers who ensure we receive the finest ingredients available in the country.
The monthly-changing menu is based around 5 main sections: Staples, Fields & Gardens, Rivers & Seas, Farms & Pastures and Sweetness. These 5 sections are ever evolving and flow with the seasons. We use some of the finest small artisan producers around Scotland, from individual cheese making farms, a smokehouse in the Hebrides, some line cut fish, a mushroom farm, charcuteries and the best poultry and meats. Provenance is at the heart of our menus.
Wines are sourced from small growers around the Mediterranean, offering sumptuous White, Rosé and Red wines, all hand selected to match the dishes that we serve. The majority of our superb wines are available by the glass. We have a list of purely Scottish craft beers, a large selection of spirits that are high-end and pre-dominantly Scottish sourced, a range of Scottish soft drinks and an incredibly rare whisky because we might as well have something unique.
